It’s back! Calling all the climbing ladies! Get ready to rock a comp just for you. Redpoint bouldering during quals, followed by a mixed format finals round that is sure impress and then stay the night to participate in the clinics on Sunday!

Well, I took some much needed time off of climbing and training after the World Cup in Munich and it has been slow going to get back into it. But despite being very much out of climbing shape, much less competition shape, I’m going to cross the border and test out the SSF problems. My main goal is to have fun and I think I’ll be able to attain that:)

Super fun format for this outdoor bouldering comp. Climb as many problems as you can. Each problem, regardless of difficulty, is worth the same total number of points and at the end of the comp will be divided by the numbers of climbers who sent the problem. That is how many points each of the climbers will receive for that problem. High score wins! So find the problems no one else is on!!

Registration includes lots of stuff, check out the FestiRoc site for details.

FestiRoc – Parc de la Forêt Ouareau, Lanaudière, QC
Cost: included in FestiRoc registration
Climbing: 11:30am – 2:30pm

My basic (at best) understanding of French, outdoor climbing and roped climbing have limited my grasp of what exactly is going on here. I think they’re looking to see if someone can get the FA of a climb. I am clear on the fact that you will need a helmet. But whatever is going on it sounds like fun, check it out if you are at FestiRoc! (If this is wrong, someone explain to me what is going on, please:) If this is right, keep me posted on what happens!!!)
