Jackalope – Montreal, QC   Results

The weather cooperated for Jackalope and all climbing events went as scheduled, except for a short rain delay during the first wave of Open climbers. The format was new and interesting, although I’m still a bit lost on the details of the scoring (tops/bonus, but with points…)
My biggest goal for this comp was to evaluate my training and make any final adjustments before WC Munich. I definitely met that goal. I felt stronger than the beginning of the summer, which is good! I also was tired and sore, which is actually also good, since I was ending a hard training cycle.
It was so nice to see everyone and the vibe at the comp was outstanding!
Pete Woods: Défi accepté! Je me suis tellement amusé. Parc olympique est un endroit étonnant à grimper. Merci pour l’annonce!!!

This bouldering comp is part of the Jackalope action sports festival. The comp wall (same one used at the recent IFSC Bouldering World Cup in Toronto) will be set up “open air*” at the Montreal Olympic Park. Spectators are free, but if you would like to test out the wall for yourself after the competitions, buy a Shredder pass!

*Please check the FQME website for information regarding rain scenarios.

I’ll be at Jackalope on Saturday trying to shake off the comp cobwebs before WC Munich later this summer. Keep your fingers crossed for no rain while I’m on the wall!
