Quebec Cup Stop 1 Junior – Amusement Action Directe, Boisbriand, QC

This difficulty comp is the first stop for juniors in the Quebec Cup leading to championships in May.

OCF Local – Climber’s Rock, Burlington, ON
Cost: $40, $5 fee for non-OCF members
Climbing: 9:00am – 12:00pm boys, 1:00pm – 4:00pm girls

This roped comp is being run in scramble format with Youth C & D on top-rope and Youth B, A & Jr on lead.

Live Free and Climb Hard – North Country Climbing Center, Lisbon, NH
Cost: $5 + day pass or NCCC membership
Climbing: 3:00pm – 6:00pm youth categories, 6:00pm – 9:00pm adults
Categories: Little Climbers ages 10&under, Rock Stars ages 11 – 16 (subcat: Novice & Experienced), Open ages 17+ (subcat: Novice & experienced)

This bouldering comp is a great way to celebrate this new gym. The food, music and prizes will make it even better!

This is a SCS top-rope competition just for youth! Sign up quick, because registration closes at 8pm 3/13/15. Be sure to bring cash to the comp to purchase tasty treats at the bake sale fundraiser!

Bouldering comp season is starting to wrap up and 4/5 of the comps this weekend were championships/final events. The last TdB comp was also the last CEC National Series event before CEC Bouldering Nationals, coming up in less than 2 weeks!

NCBS Comp #3 – Coyote Rock Gym, Ottawa, ON   Results

I was at Joe Rockhead’s this weekend for the TdB/CEC NS comp. It was my first time competing at JR and I liked the set up for iso and the comp. I can only speak to the women’s blocs, but I thought there was a lot of variety in the quals problems and I thought they were really well-set. Good separation was achieved, despite the high number of tops. I finished just outside of qualifying for finals in 9th which was such a bummer! However, it was the best placement I’ve had at a Canadian comp since I hurt my knee and it was a super deep and talented field, so overall I was happy. The even better news is that I was invited to compete at Canadian Bouldering Nationals! Of course I accepted:) I am so incredibly excited for this event. It is going to be such a great show! Cannot wait!!!!!

This is the last TdB of the season and it is the National Series bouldering event for Ontario. It is going to be intense, do not miss this one!!!

I am going to be climbing at Joe Rockhead’s on Saturday and I cannot wait for this comp! Of course, I’m excited to climb (I always am), but after all the unbelievable crushing that went down at CEC Youth Nationals, I am super stoked to see what this comp and CEC Open Nationals hold. I think it is going to be off the charts!
