As the youth are crushing in Colorado Springs at ABS 15 Youth Nationals this weekend, there are some events going on here in the Northeast.  Saturday is for the college students and there are a couple of comps in Canada on Sunday.

(FYI – Youth Nats are not being streamed:(, so there is no chance to watch them. Check Facebook and Twitter for updates from gyms and climbers to get the latest reports. We have lots of Northeasterners representing!)

This is the final comp for the University Bouldering Series of West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.  The series champion will also be decided at the conclusion of this comp.

OCF Local Comp – Rock Oasis, Toronto, ON
Cost: $35, $5 fee for non-OCF members

This is the 2nd local roped comp for the OCF.  Youth C & D will top-rope, while Youth A, B & Jr will lead climb.

Queen’s Climbing Club Comp – The Boiler Room, Kingston, ON
Cost: $35, $30 for QCC members
Climbing: Youth: 9:00am – 11:00am, Adv: 11:00am – 2:00pm, Beg & Int: 2:00pm – 5:00pm, Finals: 6:00pm – 8:00pm

This will be a mixed format comp with competitors scoring their top 3 bouldering problems and their top 3 top-rope routes.  The comp is scramble format with top Advanced finishers moving on to an onsight format finals with isolation.
