We’re starting to really get into bouldering season now.  Another USAC youth local, the Dark Horse Series kicks off, and there’s even an option for the littlest climbers.

USAC Youth Local – Rock Climb, Fairfield, CT
Cost: $45, $10 fee for non-USAC members
Climbing: 12:00pm – 4:00pm

Youth and adults are invited to climb in this bouldering comp.

Dark Horse 8.1 – Metro Rock, Essex, VT
Cost: $45 pre-registered MR members, $50 pre-registered non-members, $55 day of, $10 spectator pass
Climbing: Youth & Junior 10:00am – 1:00pm, Adults 1:15pm – 4:15pm, Youth & Junior Finals 5:00pm – 5:45pm, Open Finals 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Categories: Junior (12&under), Youth (13-15), Rec, Int, Adv, Open (n=born before 1/1/02), Masters (40+)

The first Dark Horse bouldering comp of the year is here!  Competitors get a pass to watch finals, but all others need to purchase a $10 ticket.  Shirts (adult T, men’s tank, women’s tank, youth T) are $15.

Pebble Pull – Climber’s Rock, Burlington, ON
Cost: $30
Climbing: 10:00am – 1:00pm

This bouldering comp is in its second year and brings an important innovation to the climbing world.  It caters to kids who are new to climbing and competing by giving them a chance to try out a comp and get a feel for how they work without the stress and intimidation of an official sanctioned youth comp.
